A UK farmer tied and drove two people he claimed were trespassing on his property to the nearby police station and ended up being arrested for assault and false imprisonment.

Leland Hornby, 17, and an unidentified friend spent Saturday night riding their electric bicycle on Neil Greenwood's farm in Trawden, Lancashire. When they attempted to leave, they found the gate was locked, The Sun reported.

After leaving on foot, the two returned the next morning to retrieve their e-bike. Instead, Greenwood tackled them to the ground and tied them to his ATV while accusing them of trespassing.

"He tied us up, pulled our hoods over our heads, threw us onto the quad bike and took us to the police station," Hornby told The Sun. "We were bound by our hands and feet. We couldn't move... He said he was going to drive us to the bottom of a lane. I was scared of what he might do."

He added that he and his friend almost fell off the ATV a couple of times because they weren't properly secured.

"We shouted at him and he just replied 'let me know when you've fallen off,'" Hornby shared.

Hornby's mother was incredibly upset by the incident and called the farmer "disgusting for what he's done."

"They were frightened to death. Absolutely terrified," she told The Sun. "Phone the police by all means, if they're trespassing, but don't take matters in your own hands and hogtie them."

When he arrived at the police station, the farmer was questioned by cops and subsequently arrested for false imprisonment and assault. He posted bail and is back on his farm while the investigation continues.
