Fantasy start or sit Week 4: Derrick Henry, Robert Woods, Ryan Tannehill

The Tennessee Titans finally notched their first win of the 2022 campaign in Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders, and three of their biggest fantasy assets delivered good to great performances in the process.

Running back Derrick Henry finally got going after a quiet start to the season, posting 85 rushing yards and one score while also adding five receptions for 58 yards.

Henry normally isn’t known for his involvement in the passing game, so that particular aspect of his Week 3 showing gives us hope that The King will perhaps add another wrinkle to his game this season.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill rebounded well after a poor Week 2 showing. Tannehill tallied 264 yards through the air and found the end zone twice, with one rushing and one passing touchdown apiece.

After having zero fantasy relevance through the first two games, receiver Robert Woods had his best showing of 2022 with four receptions for a team-high 85 yards, although he didn’t find the end zone.

So, should you be rolling these players out in fantasy lineups in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts?

Find out now as we take a look at some start or sit advice for the Titans’ best fantasy assets, Henry, Tannehill and Woods, ahead of Sunday.

RB Derrick Henry: Start

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Henry remains a must-start for fantasy managers, but he might have a tough time getting going in Week 4. The Colts are ceding the third-fewest rushing yards per game and have allowed just two rushing touchdowns.

Despite that, Indy still ranks tied for 14th in fantasy points allowed per game to backs, partly because of the five receptions for 40 yards per contest it is allowing to the position.

If Henry struggles to rack up the yardage, hopefully he can continue the trend of backs having success as pass-catchers against the Colts to make up for it.

QB Ryan Tannehill: Start

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The Colts have been a middle-of-the-road defense against quarterbacks, both in terms of passing yards and fantasy points allowed per contest, while also allowing just five passing touchdowns through three games.

In five meetings against the Colts since joining the Titans in 2019, Tannehill is averaging 202.4 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and 19.8 rushing yards per game. Those numbers would work out to about 18 fantasy points, which isn’t great but certainly serviceable.

Tannehill isn’t a must-start by any means but he is a viable option for those managers who have struggled at quarterback through three games or are dealing with an injury and looking for an alternative.

WR Robert Woods: Sit

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Coming off his best game as a Titan, Woods is one of the better waiver wire adds this week if he’s available. However, you should probably give it another game before inserting him into lineups.

Tennessee’s wide receiver situation remains very wide open, which has led to a different receiver leading the team in yardage every week.

The good news for Woods is that he’s finished tied for second or better in targets, receptions and receiving yards in each of the last two games. The veteran and Tannehill are clearly getting more and more on the same page, giving us hope that there is consistent fantasy relevance in Woods’ future.

That said, we need to see it another week before trusting Woods, especially in a matchup against a Colts defense that ranks tied for the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game given up to receivers this season. Woods will also likely get a steady dose of Stephon Gilmore in this one.
