Fantasy Premier League tips: Transfer and captain options ahead of FPL gameweek 13 deadline

Fantasy Premier League managers have until Saturday morning to pick their transfers for gameweek 13.

An 11am deadline ahead of Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool gives plenty of time for players to make their moves ahead of an intriguing weekend of games. Manchester City stars will no doubt be backed to the hilt with Brighton at home while Tottenham face a tricky test against Newcastle and Chelsea host Manchester United.

Here are our tips for FPL GW13...

Gianluca Scamacca - West Ham - £6.8m

Only Leicester have conceded more goals on the road than Bournemouth, who head to London Stadium for a game with West Ham on Monday night. Both of Scamacca’s Premier League strikes have come in his own back yard.

James Justin - Leicester - £4.3m

The Foxes are quietly getting back to form and head to goal-shy Wolves this weekend, Justin playing a key role with three clean sheets in four and a pair of assists this season.

Ilkay Gundogan - Man City - £7.4m

Picking which City player you want to bolster your squad with at this stage requires a bit of pot-luck. Erling Haaland and Joao Cancelo are must-haves, while Kevin De Bruyne is an expensive third option to complete your trio.

Alternatively, Gundogan is as good a bet as any to pop up with a decent haul, boasting goals against Brighton in each of the last two seasons. You should probably captain Haaland, though. You know, to be on the safe side.

David Raya - Brentford - £4.5m

Back-to-back clean sheets featuring five bonus points have rewarded Raya owners in recent weeks and the Bees go on the road to Aston Villa for a Sunday afternoon kick-off. Only two teams have scored fewer home goals this season than Villa’s four in five games.

Miguel Almiron - Newcastle - £5.3m

The speedy Paraguayan faces a tough trip to Tottenham, where Antonio Conte’s men boast a 100 per cent record this season. But Newcastle have only lost once themselves and are on a high compared to Spurs, who lost to Manchester United in the week, and Almiron has four goals in as many games.
