Fantasy Premier League tips: FPL transfers, deadline today, scout and captain options for gameweek 26

Fantasy Premier League managers do not have long left to make their picks for gameweek 26.

Many players will be eyeing up their chips, particularly the triple captain one with Liverpool having two favourable home fixtures against Norwich and Leeds.

Arsenal also play twice, against Brentford and Wolves, while Antonio Conte’s Tottenham side travel to face Man City and Burnley. The deadline is at 11am GMT on Saturday, February 19.

Here we review some of the top choices for your FPL team in double gameweek 26...

Mohamed Salah - Liverpool - £13m

The best player in the league this season has two matches this gameweek, at home to Norwich and Leeds. It doesn’t taken an FPL expert to suggest Mohamed Salah is the standout pick for this week, and those without him could see their rank plumett with the potential for so many to triple captain him.

Trent-Alexander-Arnold - Liverpool - £8.5m

Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned 66 points in Liverpool’s last ten matches, including three assists and a goal Salah has 35 points in that period and even though he missed two matches during that run while away on AFCON duty, it shows how impressive the Reds’ right-back has been. Another big haul this week could be in store.

Kieran Tierney - Arsenal - £5.1m

Arsenal have struggled for goals since the turn of the year, but they continue to look solid defensively. The Gunners have five clean sheets in their last seven Premier League matches, and have every chance of adding to that with home fixtures against Brentford and Wolves. Kieran Tierney may even add to his tally of three assists as he bombs forward on the left.

Jacob Ramsey - Aston Villa - £4.8m

It’s easy to get carried away with teams playing twice in a gameweek, but that doesn’t mean those with just one fixture should be ignored. At an incredibly cheap price, Jacob Ramsey has three goals in his last four matches and Aston Villa should create plenty at home to Watford.

Jarrod Bowen - West Ham - £7m

Another midfielder in great form and with an extremely appealing fixture. Jarrod Bowen has returned 68 points in his last seven matches, and it would be no surprise if his goalscoring form continued at home to Newcastle.

Wilfried Zaha - Crystal Palace - £6.8m

Crystal Palace have plenty of options in forward areas which makes rotation inevitable, but Wilfried Zaha is one player who can expect plenty of minutes. He has two matches this gameweek and while he may find it tough at home to Chelsea, the trip to Vicarage Road a few days later should present him with more opportunities.

Jadon Sancho - Man United - £8.9m

Manchester United continue to be unconvincing, but Jadon Sancho is starting to look impressive and is enjoying his best spell since joining the club in the summer. Leeds may well prove to be perfect opponents for a United side that can be ruthless on the break, and Sancho’s pace could be the primary threat.

Wout Weghorst - Burnley - £6.5m

Picking a Burnley striker is very much a punt, even if they do play twice this gameweek. They’ve scored just 17 goals all season, but new man Wout Weghorst caused Man United real problems and all of Burnley’s attacking threat against Brighton and Tottenham is likely to come through him. The Clarets need need someone to step up - Weghorst could be the man.
