Trying to craft the perfect fantasy football lineup each week is tough to do. Whether you loaded up on running backs and receivers but left the quarterback spot thin, or stacked up on the skill positions and bypassed a quality defense or kicker in your draft, there’s that one spot in your weekly lineup that’s driving you crazy.
Lucky for you, streaming is an option. And we’re here to help you figure out the best players to stream on a weekly basis.
Lots of big-time players are on bye this week. More likely than not, you’ll need to replace one or two of those players ahead of Week 9.
We’ve got the perfect replacements for you.
Quarterbacks
Marcus Mariota – Atlanta Falcons
Mariota actually threw the ball last week against the Panthers (28 times) and it led to three touchdown passes and over 250 passing yards. He’ll face another mediocre defense this week in the Los Angeles Chargers. Should the game plan remain similar, he should be a fine streaming option.
Justin Fields – Chicago Bears
Fields is trending up with each passing game, and the acquisition of Chase Claypool at the trade deadline could potentially unlock Fields’ passing game a bit more. He has a good matchup against Miami in Week 9.
Running Backs
Gus Edwards – Baltimore Ravens
Pickings are slim when it comes to streaming running backs in Week 9, but if you’re fine with 60ish yards and maybe a rushing touchdown, Edwards is the guy for you.
Tyler Allgeier – Atlanta Falcons
Cordarrelle Patterson may or may not be returning to the field this weekend. Either way, Allgeier will be involved in some capacity and could be a nice streaming option depending on Patterson’s availability.
Wide Receivers
Garrett Wilson – New York Jets
There aren’t many receivers to throw to over in New York, but Garrett Wilson is probably the primary option. His jump in production last week may be a sign of things to come.
Rondale Moore – Arizona Cardinals
Even with DeAndre Hopkins back and Robbie Anderson on the team, Rondale Moore is still maintaining his role in the Cardinals’ offense — his seven catches for 92 yards and a touchdown last week are evidence.
Tight Ends
Tyler Conklin – New York Jets
While there aren’t many wide receivers to throw the football to, there is one pretty good tight end by the name of Tyler Conklin. He’s good and has proven on multiple occasions that he can be an extremely productive fantasy football player. Take a chance on him this week.
Defenses
Kansas City Chiefs
If they can stop Derrick Henry and the Titans running game, the Chiefs’ defense will be in good shape.
