Fantasy football Week 7: Add and drop

Each week I'll list the best widely available free agents for fantasy football — I define "widely available" as being owned in around half of all ESPN or Yahoo leagues — and some guys who are probably better off in the free agent pool than collecting dust on your roster.

Follow me on Twitter @UTEddieBrown if you have questions throughout the week.

Here's my best bets off the waiver wire for Week 7:

ADD

— WR Alec Pierce, Colts (ESPN: 25%; Yahoo: 39%): The rookie is the overall WR24 in standard and PPR formats since Week 3 — teammate Michael Pittman Jr. is actually ranked lower in standard (WR29).

— RB Brian Robinson, Commanders (ESPN: 50%; Yahoo: 65%): A week after making his NFL debut, Robinson has clearly supplanted Antonio Gibson as Washington's starting running back. The rookie finished as the overall RB15 in standard formats (RB20 in PPR) for Week 6 and has RB2 upside with a promise of double-digit touches every game going forward.

— WR Rondale Moore, Cardinals (ESPN: 47%; Yahoo: 46%): Moore is the overall WR25 in PPR formats the last two games with 13 receptions on 18 targets and Marquise Brown will miss at least six weeks with a broken foot. DeAndre Hopkins will return this week from suspension and Arizona just traded for Robbie Anderson, but Moore will likely be the leader in usage on a short week against the Saints. He could produce WR3/flex value the rest of this season.

— TE Daniel Bellinger, Giants (ESPN: 3%; Yahoo: 3%): The athletic rookie is the overall TE9 in standard formats (TE11 in PPR) since Week 2. Bellinger has scored a TD in three of five games this season.

— RB Latavius Murray, Broncos (ESPN: 8%; Yahoo: 15%): Melvin Gordon saw only three carries — all on the opening drive — before being usurped by Murray, who ran the ball 15 times for 66 yards in a loss at Los Angeles. Mike Boone only had two touches for four yards.

— BONUS: RB Darrell Henderson, Rams (ESPN: 69%; Yahoo: 86%): Cam Akers was inactive Week 6 and it appears will likely be traded. Henderson is the clear starter now and has RB2 upside in fantasy. Things could evolve once Kyren Williams (ESPN: 2%; Yahoo: 8%) is healthy.

— BONUS: QB Dak Prescott, Cowboys (ESPN: 75%; Yahoo: 79%): Prescott will likely return this week against the gift that keeps on giving in fantasy, the Lions defense. Pounce if he's available in your league — he was fantasy's overall QB7 in 2021.

— BONUS: WR Robbie Anderson, Cardinals (ESPN: 29%; Yahoo: 13%): The Panthers were able to get a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 seventh-round pick from Arizona for Anderson. There might be an adjustment period, but the upgrade at QB is worth the price of admission here. Anderson won't need any practice time to learn the go route.

— BONUS: QB Justin Fields, Bears (ESPN: 27%; Yahoo: 38%): It feels like Chicago has set the passing game back a half-century this season — and it has in many ways — but Fields is actually the overall QB10 the last two games, mostly on the strength of his legs. He has 135 yards on 20 carries since Week 5. If the offensive coaching staff can rediscover the forward pass at some point, Fields could be a major asset in fantasy down the stretch.

— BONUS: TE Greg Dulcich, Broncos (ESPN: <1%; Yahoo: 2%):

Albert Okwuegbunam was inactive (coach's decision) on Monday night against the Chargers. Dulcich tied for second in receptions (two) and yards (44) for Denver in his NFL debut and scored the Broncos' only TD of the game. This performance made him the overall TE5 in standard formats (TE11 in PPR). The rookie will have streaming value going forward with the upside of becoming a weekly starter (assuming the real Russell Wilson ever decides to join us).

— BONUS: WR Wan'Dale Robinson, Giants (ESPN: 7%; Yahoo: 8%): Robinson secured three of four targets for 37 yards and a TD against the Ravens in his first game since Week 1. The talent is real and this offense is thirsty for playmakers at the wide receiver position.

— BONUS: QB Daniel Jones, Giants (ESPN: 27%; Yahoo: 30%): Jones has been a borderline starting option this season (QB15 overall). He's currently fifth in rushing yards (236) for quarterbacks — only Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields and Josh Allen have more — and his receivers are starting to get healthy. The G-Men have a pretty favorable schedule for the position the rest of the way.

— BONUS: RB Kenyan Drake, Ravens (ESPN: 3%; Yahoo: 5%): JK Dobbins' knee "tightened" up and he missed the final 40 minutes of the game against the Giants. Drake played almost every snap after Dobbins was sidelined, producing 119 yards on 10 carries and a TD. He has short-term flex value until Baltimore's backfield gets healthy. Gus Edwards (ESPN: 5%; Yahoo: 15%)will likely slide into Drake's current role when he returns.

— BONUS: D/ST Patriots (ESPN: 23%; Yahoo: 65%): New England will face the Bears, Jets (twice) and Colts the next five weeks. Bill Belichick's squad is currently the third-best scoring defense in fantasy through six games — the top option since Week 3.

— BONUS: D/ST Jets (ESPN: 2%; Yahoo: 4%): Robert Saleh's unit is the seventh-best scoring defense in fantasy through six games — tied for third since Week 3. A matchup with a struggling Broncos offense (and a hobbled Russell Wilson) this week is a solid streaming target.

DROP

— RB Antonio Gibson, Commanders: Robinson has 26 carries in the last two games compared to Gibson's eight. I still believe he's capable of being a three-down back, but it's clear Washington has other ideas.

— RB Cam Akers, Rams: Don't tie up a roster spot waiting for a deal that might not even improve Akers' fantasy value.

— WR Russell Gage, Buccaneers: Gage is essentially acting as a handcuff for Chris Godwin at this point with only six receptions (14 targets) for 64 yards the last three games.

— QB Zach Wilson, Jets: The J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets! are winning despite Wilson. In his three starts this season, he's thrown one TD pass and two interceptions, averaging 190.7 yards per game.

— QB Carson Wentz, Commanders: Wentz is still the overall QB9 through six weeks, but that's on the strength of his first two games — he's the overall QB23 since Week 3 — and now he has a fractured ring finger on his throwing hand that's probably going to sideline him for multiple weeks.
