Fantasy Football Week 15: Add and Drop

Each week I'll list the best widely available free agents for fantasy football — I define "widely available" as being owned in around half of all ESPN or Yahoo leagues — and some guys who are probably better off in the free agent pool than collecting dust on your roster.

Follow me on Twitter @UTEddieBrown if you have questions throughout the week.

Here's my NFL Week 15 waiver wire cheat sheet for all league sizes and formats, with players you need to add, drop and stream in your fantasy football league:

ADD

WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, Browns (ESPN: 44%; Yahoo: 58%): Peoples-Jones is the overall WR24 in standard formats (WR20 in PPR) since Week 4, which means he has produced WR2 value on a weekly basis for the majority of this season (the bulk of that with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback). He's good and he's only scratching the surface of his potential now that he has Deshaun Watson under center.

TE Evan Engram, Jaguars (ESPN: 45%; Yahoo: 56%): The tight end position has been a fantasy wasteland this season — even more than usual — and yet Engram's roster percentage has hovered around 50 percent despite being a clear favorite of Trevor Lawrence. His monster performance at Tennessee (11 receptions for 162 yards and two touchdowns on 15 targets) helped make him the overall TE5 in standard formats (TE4 in PPR) through 14 weeks. Engram is one of only nine tight ends averaging double-digit fantasy points in PPR formats, and two of those (Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert) are currently on injured reserve.

QB Jared Goff, Lions (ESPN: 45%; Yahoo: 68%): Notice a theme so far? DPJ, Engram and Goff are all players who have produced consistently this season and haven't been rewarded with a roster spot in most leagues. Goff is the overall QB12 through 14 weeks. He's currently eighth in passing yards (3,352) and is tied for fifth in TD passes (22). Detroit's offense is the healthiest it's been all season and is still fighting for a playoff spot. If you've been waylaid by injuries at the quarterback position, Goff should be your primary target this week.

WR DJ Chark, Lions (ESPN: 23%; Yahoo: 40%): Chark was eased back into action in Week 11 after missing two months with an ankle injury. He's the overall WR12 in standard formats (WR15 in PPR) since Week 12, with at least five receptions and 90-plus receiving yards in back-to-back games. Chark's teammate Jameson Williams (ESPN: 27%; Yahoo: 36%) showed against Minnesota why everyone is so excited he's finally healthy. His 41-yard TD (one of only two targets in just 13 snaps) is indicative that it won't take much for him to be fantasy relevant.

RB Damien Harris, Patriots (ESPN: 56%; Yahoo: 50%): Rhamondre Stevenson suffered an ankle injury that kept him sidelined in the second half against the Cardinals on Monday night. Harris is next in line to take advantage of a ripe matchup with the Raiders this week, assuming he's able to go with his own quad ailment. If not, rookies Kevin Harris (ESPN: <1%; Yahoo: 1%) and Pierre Strong (ESPN: <1%; Yahoo: 1%) will likely share the wealth like they did at Arizona, both scoring a TD.

BONUS: TE Tyler Conklin, Jets (ESPN: 39%; Yahoo: 26%): Conklin has been a borderline TE1 this season and has a plush schedule the next three weeks against the Lions (28th in fantasy points allowed per game to tight ends), Jaguars (26th) and Seahawks (31st).

BONUS: WR Tutu Atwell, Rams (ESPN: 1%; Yahoo: <1%): Atwell has been good this season when given the opportunity. Among all wide receivers with at least 20 targets, he is eighth in receiving grade and third in yards per route run, according to Pro Football Focus. Atwell has at least five targets in two straight weeks and has produced 48-plus yards in four of his last six games.

BONUS: QB Brock Purdy, 49ers (ESPN: 7%; Yahoo: 10%): Purdy finished as the overall QB8 in Week 14 in his first career start in the NFL, producing more fantasy points than Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Deshaun Watson, Dak Prescott and Tua Tagovailoa. He has a favorable schedule the rest of the way against the Seahawks, Commanders and Raiders — all three are in the bottom-half of the league in fantasy points per game allowed to quarterbacks.

BONUS: TE Chigoziem Okonkwo, Titans (ESPN: 4%; Yahoo: 14%): Okonkwo is the overall TE3 across all formats since Week 12. The rookie has at least five targets in three straight games and his 2.58 yards per route run is still by far the best figure among tight ends this season.

BONUS: RB Joshua Kelley, Chargers (ESPN: 5%; Yahoo: 4%): Kelley has locked up the backup role behind Austin Ekeler, playing at least 40 percent of snaps the last two games. Consider this your yearly reminder for the fantasy playoffs: if you have an elite running back, roster his handcuff .

BONUS: WR Elijah Moore, Jets (ESPN: 33%; Yahoo: 27%): Moore has at least 60 yards in two of three games with Mike White at quarterback and he led the team with 10 targets against the Bills on Sunday. Corey Davis suffered a concussion against Buffalo and will likely miss this week. Moore's talent has never been in question.

BONUS: RB Jordan Mason, 49ers (ESPN: 5%; Yahoo: 12%): The Georgia Tech product was clearly the backup and only other running back besides Christian McCaffrey to see the field for two straight games. Mason has 132 yards on 24 carries (5.5 yards per carry) the last three games and must be handcuffed if you have McCaffrey. He could also see a bump in usage with Deebo Samuel likely to miss at least a few games with an MCL sprain.

BONUS: D/ST Broncos (ESPN: 34%; Yahoo: 43%): Denver's defense has been a borderline starting option all season and just picked Patrick Mahomes off three times. The Broncos next two opponents (the Cardinals and Rams) are 26th and 31st in fantasy points allowed to opposing defenses this season.

BONUS: D/ST Jets (ESPN: 57%; Yahoo: 38%): Robert Saleh's squad is the seventh-best scoring defense in fantasy this season and just sacked Josh Allen three times, limiting him to 147 passing yards and 5.4 yards per attempt on Sunday.

BONUS: D/ST Packers (ESPN: 38%; Yahoo: 35%): What Baker Mayfield did for the Rams last Thursday night — playing in and winning a game for a team after only being in town for less than 48 hours — was incredible, but let's not overreact. The disappointing champs are still allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing defenses and travel to Green Bay for a Monday night matchup, where temperatures could be in the teens.

DROP

QB Kyler Murray, Cardinals: Murray suffered a non-contact knee injury early against the Patriots on Monday night. Non-contact knee injuries are typically worst-case scenario.

WR Deebo Samuel, 49ers: Fortunately for San Francisco, Samuel will return this season after spraining his MCL and ankle against the Buccaneers. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, I doubt it will be in time to help us in the playoffs.

QB Marcus Mariota, Falcons: Coach Arthur Smith made a "performance-based decision" to bench Mariota in favor of rookie Desmond Ridder. The veteran quarterback was also dealing with a knee injury and will likely be placed on injured reserve.

RB Kenyan Drake, Ravens: A healthy JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards means less opportunity for Drake.

WR Odell Beckham Jr., Free agent: If Beckham plays this season, it won't be during the regular season.
