Fantasy Football Week 13: Add and Drop

Each week I'll list the best widely available free agents for fantasy football — I define "widely available" as being owned in around half of all ESPN or Yahoo leagues — and some guys who are probably better off in the free agent pool than collecting dust on your roster.

Follow me on Twitter @UTEddieBrown if you have questions throughout the week.

Here's my NFL Week 13 waiver wire cheat sheet for all league sizes and formats, with players you need to add, drop and stream in your fantasy football league:

ADD

WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, Browns (ESPN: 42%; Yahoo: 50%): Peoples-Jones has actually been a flex-worthy option since Week 4 — he's the overall WR33 in standard formats (WR31 in PPR) over that span. He had at least four receptions and 50 yards in seven straight games before Week 12 — five of those games he had at least 71 yards. Deshaun Watson's (ESPN: 43%; Yahoo: 59%) favorite receiver during his time in Houston was Will Fuller, who shares a skill-set with Peoples-Jones.

RB Gus Edwards, Ravens (ESPN: 41%; Yahoo: 56%): Edwards has finished as the overall RB6, RB35 and RB31 in standard formats the three games he has been active this season. Baltimore has one of the easiest schedules for running backs in fantasy the rest of this season.

QB Mike White, Jets (ESPN: 3%; Yahoo: 5%): New York's upcoming schedule is very quarterback friendly and White looked light years ahead of Zach Wilson in his first start of the season.

WR Jameson Williams, Lions (ESPN: 21%; Yahoo: 39%): Williams could be added to the active roster this week. I don't anticipate the dynamic first-round draft pick will get a high volume of targets right away, but he doesn't need that to be fantasy relevant.

TE Foster Moreau, Raiders (ESPN: 36%; Yahoo: 39%): Moreau is the overall TE8 across all formats since Week 8. With the tight end position as unpredictable as ever in fantasy, he has been one of the few consistent options of late. In fact, the entire Vegas passing game has been streamlined since Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow were placed on injured reserve. Mack Hollins (ESPN: 13%; Yahoo: 21%) is averaging almost seven targets per game since Week 10.

BONUS: WR Treylon Burks, Titans (ESPN: 38%; Yahoo: 51%): Since returning from a foot injury in Week 10, Burks is the overall WR35 in standard formats (WR30 in PPR) and has had at least six targets in every game. The more he plays — he played almost 70 percent of the snaps in Week 12 — the more productive he will be. Consider him a WR3/flex option with upside going forward.

BONUS: RB Tyrion Davis-Price, 49ers (ESPN: 1%; Yahoo: 1%): Elijah Mitchell suffered another knee sprain and likely won't play again until the postseason. Jordan Mason (ESPN: <1%; Yahoo: 1%) had 25 yards on five carries in relief, but was only in that position because he's normally the third active running back on game day due to his special teams role. It will likely be either Davis-Price or Tevin Coleman (ESPN: <1%; Yahoo: <1%) who will likely get an opportunity to serve as the change-of-pace/complimentary option behind Christian McCaffrey, who is also dealing with some knee soreness.

BONUS: WR Zay Jones, Jaguars (ESPN: 31%; Yahoo: 25%): Jones went off against the Ravens in Week 12 for 11 receptions and 145 yards on 14 targets. It was his fourth game with double-digit targets and second game with double-digit receptions this season. Christian Kirk only has three games with double-digit targets and he has yet to top nine receptions. Kirk is the WR1 in Jacksonville's offense, but Jones is closer to WR1a than you may think.

BONUS: QB Jared Goff, Lions (ESPN: 29%; Yahoo: 46%): Goff is top-10 in passing yards (2,682) and touchdowns (17). His next two opponents (Jaguars and Vikings) are both top-eight in allowing fantasy points to quarterbacks and all of his receivers are close to fully healthy for the first time this season.

BONUS: TE Logan Thomas, Commanders (ESPN: 11%; Yahoo: 11%): The Giants have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season and Thomas will face them twice in the next three weeks.

BONUS: WR Elijah Moore, Jets (ESPN: 33%; Yahoo: 26%): Mike White resurrected Moore to the tune of 64 yards and a TD against the Bears in Week 12. Moore had 28 yards in his previous five games combined. The two had great chemistry in 2021 so it's worth taking a flier on Moore if you need help or upside at wide receiver. Corey Davis (ESPN: 9%; Yahoo: 13%) actually out-snapped him (43 to 22), ran more routes (23 to 13) and had more targets (three to two). If White is the real deal, than Moore, Davis and Garrett Wilson will all get a boost in their fantasy value.

BONUS: RB Jerick McKinnon, Chiefs (ESPN: 30%; Yahoo: 38%): In games where Kansas City isn't a heavy favorite — like this weekend against the Bengals — McKinnon is a premium flex option, especially in PPR (he has at least six targets in three of the last four games).

BONUS: RB Mike Boone, Broncos (ESPN: 2%; Yahoo: 4%): Boone is eligible to return from injured reserve this week. Both Latavius Murray and Marlon Mack aren't known as good receivers out of the backfield, so Boone will likely become Denver's primary receiving back once he's healthy.

BONUS: D/ST Seahawks (ESPN: 11%; Yahoo: 19%): Whomever lines up opposite the Rams offense going forward is a premium streaming option in fantasy.

BONUS: D/ST Browns (ESPN: 9%; Yahoo: 8%): Cleveland should put up some points against Houston depending how long it takes Deshaun Watson to shake off the rust — he hasn't played in almost two years — putting pressure on Kyle Allen (or Davis Mills) to make plays, which will likely lead to mistakes. Only the Rams and Colts had allowed more fantasy points to opposing defenses than the Texans.

DROP

QB Russell Wilson, Broncos: Wilson is the overall QB22 through 12 games, which means he isn't even usable in 10-team leagues that utilize a superflex.

RB Kareem Hunt, Browns: Hunt is the overall RB49 across all formats since Week 6. His role has diminished significantly in Cleveland and I'd only roster him as a handcuff to Nick Chubb.

WR Darnell Mooney, Bears: Mooney will be placed on injured reserve and miss the remainder of the season after injuring his left ankle against the Jets.

RB Elijah Mitchell, 49ers: Mitchell will again miss six to eight weeks with an MCL sprain in his left knee — he suffered a similar injury to his right knee earlier this season.

WR Allen Robinson, Rams: Robinson will miss the rest of this season and needs surgery after a CT scan revealed a stress fracture on the navicular bone in his foot.
