Each week I'll list the best widely available free agents for fantasy football — I define "widely available" as being owned in around half of all ESPN or Yahoo leagues — and some guys who are probably better off in the free agent pool than collecting dust on your roster.

Here are my best bets off the waiver wire for Week 10:
ADD
— QB Justin Fields, Bears (ESPN: 47%; Yahoo: 70%): Despite a horrific start to the season, Fields is fantasy's overall QB7 through nine games. He's actually the overall QB1 since Week 5 after going nuclear in Week 9 with only Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen besting him in fantasy points per game over that span. This is the fourth straight week I've written about the dual-threat. After advocating for Fields heavily before the matchup with the Dolphins, his roster percentage only jumped about 20% (with ESPN leagues lagging woefully behind Yahoo). I expect him to be universally rostered this time next week.
— TE Greg Dulcich, Broncos (ESPN: 29%; Yahoo: 36%):
Like Fields, Dulcich has been a regular on this list. Denver has made it a point to get the rookie involved since he was activated off of Injured Reserve. He has 17 targets his last three games — only Jerry Jeudy with 25 has more for the Broncos — and is fourth in fantasy points per game for tight ends in standard formats since Week 6 — he's tied for fifth in PPR over that span. I consider him a weekly starter going forward and his roster percentage actually dropped last week with Denver on a bye.
— RB Jeff Wilson, Dolphins (ESPN: 45%; Yahoo: 52%): Wilson had 72 total yards on 12 touches and a receiving touchdown in his debut with Miami after being acquired at the trade deadline earlier in the week. The Dolphins' backfield likely becomes a 50-50 split with Raheem Mostert the rest of the way and there's a chance Wilson is the more consistent option of the two — he had three more touches and played one more snap than Mostert against the Bears.
— WR Odell Beckham Jr., Free agent (ESPN: 20%; Yahoo: 24%): There were reports Sunday morning that Beckham's rehab is going well and he could be fully cleared to play as soon as the end of the week. It's time to consider stashing the potential difference maker for the fantasy playoffs, as contenders for the All-Pro's services include the Bills, Cowboys, 49ers, Giants and Ravens.
— RB Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs (ESPN: 27%; Yahoo: 30%): The rookie has out-snapped Clyde Edwards-Helaire, albeit by a small margin, since he was named the starter two weeks ago. Kansas City was forced to abandon the run against the Titans, but six of its nine remaining opponents have losing records, which should lead to favorable game scripts for the run game.
— BONUS: WR Kadarius Toney, Chiefs (ESPN: 52%; Yahoo: 55%): Toney's roster percentage actually dropped a few points after being traded to Kansas City. Am I missing something? He's 100% healthy. It will likely take a few weeks to get him up to speed, but he only played nine snaps against the Titans, running six routes and still received two targets (a robust 33.3% target rate). For perspective, Cooper Kupp has a 31.8% target rate this season.
— BONUS: WR Wan'Dale Robinson, Giants (ESPN: 20%; Yahoo: 26%): Robinson was building momentum before laying an egg against the Seahawks in Week 8. Coming off a bye, I expect the dynamic rookie to be featured more prominently as one of the two last-standing wide receivers in the G-Men's offense and the next two matchups (Texans and Lions) are juicy. While Robinson will do most of his damage in the slot, Darius Slayton (ESPN: 2%; Yahoo: 5%) has produced on the outside with at least five receptions, 66 yards or a TD in three of the last four games.
— BONUS: TE Cole Kmet (ESPN: 27%; Yahoo: 23%): Kmet is the overall TE1 in standard formats the last two games (TE2 in PPR) on the strength of three TDs over that span.
— BONUS: RB Kyren Williams, Rams (ESPN: 14%; Yahoo: 42%): Williams will be activated soon and will be given every opportunity to revitalize one of the worst running back groups in the NFL. The Rams coaching staff fell in love with his well-rounded skill set coming out of Notre Dame and he likely would've earned significant playing time at the beginning of his rookie season had he not suffered a high-ankle sprain on the opening kickoff in Week 1.
— BONUS: QB Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers (ESPN: 18%; Yahoo: 40%): Garoppolo is actually 10th in fantasy points per game for quarterbacks since Week 5. The addition of Christian McCaffrey seemed to settle him down significantly against the Rams in Week 8, in a way that I haven't witnessed from him since the great games he had against the Saints and Cardinals in 2019. Theoretically, Garoppolo doesn't have to go off script if his first read isn't there anymore — when he normally gets in trouble — he can just check-down to one of the most dynamic players in the NFL. If he remains calm, there's some real upside here.
— BONUS: WR Terrace Marshall, Panthers (ESPN: 8%; Yahoo: 6%): Marshall is actually the overall WR15 in standard formats (WR20 in PPR) the last two games, producing 140 yards on seven receptions (15 targets) and a TD. Remember, he's still only 22 years old, but this is indicative of his immense talent. It seems rumors of his demise in fantasy were premature.
— BONUS: WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, Browns (ESPN: 13%; Yahoo: 22%): Peoples-Jones has actually been a flex-worthy option since Week 4 despite Jacoby Brissett's uneven play at quarterback. He has at least four receptions and 50 yards in five straight games — four of those games he has at least 71 yards.
— BONUS: TE Cade Otton, Buccaneers (ESPN: 5%; Yahoo: 11%): Otton has been the overall TE8 in fantasy since Week 7, producing at least four receptions, 64 yards or a TD in two of the last three games. I'd consider Otton in Dulcich's class if it weren't for the unknowns that come with Cameron Brate potentially returning soon.
— BONUS: D/ST Broncos (ESPN: 35%; Yahoo: 46%): The Denver defense is tied for 11th in fantasy points per game through nine games and is only available in this many leagues because it was on a bye in Week 9.
— BONUS: D/ST Jets (ESPN: 32%; Yahoo: 19%): Robert Saleh has a young and talented defense running on all cylinders — Did you see how well they played against the Bills? — and it's the fifth-best scoring option in fantasy through nine games. This unit is only available because many faded them against Buffalo.
DROP
— WR Michael Thomas, Saints: Thomas will have surgery to repair a dislocated second toe and will likely miss the rest of the season.
— WR Rashod Bateman, Ravens: Bateman will undergo Lisfranc surgery on his left foot and miss the remainder of the season.
— QB Jared Goff, Lions: Through the first four weeks of the season, Goff was the overall QB5, throwing four TD passes in two separate games. Since Week 5, Goff is the overall QB27 (not even usable in superflex formats), with three total TD passes against four interceptions in four games.
— RB Darrell Henderson Jr., Rams: Henderson has been the overall RB38 across all formats since replacing Cam Akers as the Rams' primary running back in Week 6. L.A.'s offensive line and running back group have been awful this season.
— RB Eno Benjamin, Cardinals: Benjamin took a clear backseat to a healthy James Conner against the Seahawks. There's no need to roster him unless you're handcuffing him to Conner.
