Fantasy football waiver wire Week 17: WR Drake London calling

The NFL is starting to wind down its 2022 season, but your fantasy football playoffs rage on.

Are you someone who is in shock over running back Derrick Henry going on the injury list? Are you trying to figure out what to do with quarterback Lamar Jackson still on the sideline?

Have no fear. We here at For the Win want you to thrive in your fantasy playoffs, unless you’re playing one of us. In that case, disregard any of the information you read here and go about your day.

If you need some valuable waiver wire insight, check out the guys below who might help you will your way over the finish line.

1
WR Drake London, Atlanta Falcons

If the Falcons’ 2022 first-round wideout isn’t already claimed in your league, get on that.

London has started to heat up with quarterback Desmond Ridder behind center for Atlanta. He’s hauled in 20 catches for 261 yards throughout three games this month.

It feels like he’s close to reaching the end zone, and Arizona’s passing defense will be missing safety Budda Baker on Sunday.

2
RB Jeff Wilson, Miami Dolphins

With Miami Dolphins losing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in another concussion protocol stint, the run game will take center focus.

Jeff Wilson might still be available in some leagues. He found the end zone for the Dolphins on Christmas Day and rushed for 37 yards on nine targets.

Wilson might be a stealthy flex player on a fantasy roster needing some depth.

3
QB Colt McCoy, Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals are facing one of the league’s leakiest defenses in the Falcons on Sunday.

While McCoy is coming out of the concussion protocol, his return should help the Arizona offense get some blows in on Atlanta.

McCoy might be a stealthy start for a fantasy team with an ailing quarterback.

4
RB Ameer Abdullah, Las Vegas Raiders

With the Raiders benching quarterback Derek Carr, Las Vegas will be relying much more on its run game against the treacherous 49ers.

Throwing quarterback Jared Stidham into his first start against San Francisco will all but guarantee the Raiders will tote the rock more than normal.

With Josh Jacobs to get most of the reps, watch for Ameer Abdullah to factor in with rushing and passing reps more than usual.

5
RB Hassan Haskins, Tennessee Titans

If you’re looking for a last-minute pickup ahead of Thursday night’s Titans/Cowboys game, look for rookie rusher Hassan Haskins.

The Michigan alum will be taking significant snaps with running back Derrick Henry out.

As the Titans start quarterback Josh Dobbs, watch for them to really lean on what run game they can muster.

6
WR Sammy Watkins, Baltimore Ravens

In his first game back with Baltimore, Watkins caught a nice 40-yard pass from quarterback Tyler Huntley.

With the Ravens trying to keep playoff spirits high with quarterback Lamar Jackson out, watch for Watkins to play a bigger role in the Baltimore offense.

Huntley struck gold with one key pass this past Saturday with Watkins. Could he find more?

7
WR Richie James, New York Giants

James played hero for the Giants on Saturday, hauling a team-best 80 yards on eight catches in New York’s loss to Minnesota.

If quarterback Daniel Jones and James are heating up as the season winds down, he might be a stealthy steal at this point in the process.

He’s not the only receiver getting targets, but he is the one the team might turn to more as the regular season nears its close.
