You’re waking up on Tuesday reading all that you can about the players that you should be picking up off the waiver wire as you prepare for Week 6 of fantasy football in 2022.
But it’s likely there aren’t as many things written about who you should be dropping to grab those players. That’s what this weekly column — keep ’em or dump ’em! — will hopefully answer for you: Some help in the debate over who you should keep or drop in order to improve your team.
It’s a pretty good waiver wire week, so let’s dive in to help you with who to keep or drop:
1
RB Darrell Henderson, Los Angeles Rams
Dude got exactly ZERO carries against the Cowboys. He did catch four passes, but the point here is: Cam Akers is the RB1, which isn’t great either way because the line is struggling.
Point is, even if Henderson were to have a bigger role, he might not be great. I’m fine with dropping him.
VERDICT: Drop him
2
WR Treylon Burks, Tennessee Titans
This assumes that you don’t have him in an IR spot and need to debate whether to keep or drop him.
I’d say you keep him if you have the room. He’s the kind of rookie who could break out later in the season even in a run-first offense.
VERDICT: Keep him
3
WR Allen Robinson, Los Angeles Rams
He’s seen at least five targets in all of his past four games, but he’s done next to nothing with them. Matthew Stafford looks at Cooper Kupp first, second, third and then at Tyler Higbee.
VERDICT: Drop him
4
RB Chase Edmonds, Miami Dolphins
It’s the Raheem Mostert show now. But Edmonds is now the kind of RB you have to hold on to in case Mostert gets hurt.
Lowest rushing yards over expectation per carry through Week 5:
1. Chase Edmonds (-2.08)
2. Najee Harris (-1.06)
3. Cam Akers (-0.98)
4. Michael Carter (-0.8)(This is a Raheem Mostert, Jaylen Warren, Darrell Henderson, and Breece Hall tweet)

VERDICT: Keep him
5
RB Antonio Gibson, Washington Commanders
Brian Robinson returned, and you saw exactly what you thought would happen: Gibson had three carries. He turned that into … six yards.
The other issue is the Commanders are throwing a ton, so I’m fine with dropping him. He wasn’t good before Robinson returned.
VERDICT: Drop him
6
RB Latavius Murray, Denver Broncos
I told you to go get him last week … and then he didn’t play, and Melvin Gordon and Mike Boone ran a bunch. They weren’t the most effective, but I’m guessing that means they’re the 1-2 punch for the Broncos’ rushing attack.
VERDICT: Drop him
7
TE Tyler Conklin, New York Jets
He put up a goose egg after four straight weeks of solid production. Normally, I’d worry, but the tight end position is in shambles.
VERDICT: Keep him
