Fantasy football waiver wire: Should you keep or cut these 7 players ahead of Week 4?

You’re waking up on Tuesday reading all that you can about the players that you should be picking up off the waiver wire as you prepare for Week 4 of fantasy football in 2022.

But it’s likely there aren’t as many things written about who you should be dropping to grab those players. That’s what this weekly column — keep ’em or dump ’em! — will hopefully answer for you: Some help in the debate over who you should keep or drop in order to improve your team.

It’s a fairly good waiver wire week, so let’s dive in to help you with who to keep or drop:

1
QB Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints

He’s not healthy, and he’s thrown too many INTs to consider keeping him. There are other QBs I’d rather have that are probably on waivers.

VERDICT: Drop him

2
RB Darrell Henderson, Los Angeles Rams

He got the majority of the quality work in Week 1, scored in Week 2 … and carried the ball just four times in Week 3.

Seems like Cam Akers is the 1A in this situation, but sadly, you may have to hold on to Henderson until we see if Akers is really The Guy in Los Angeles.

VERDICT: Keep him

3
RB Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Eight carries for 11 yards. Bleh, but it was the Bills he was facing. Chase Edmonds also got two fewer carries (but scored twice). I say you have to keep him based on volume.

VERDICT: Keep him

4
TE Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

Just five targets in three games. You know what to do.

VERDICT: Drop him

5
WR Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears

 Mike Dinovo-USA TODAY Sports

I said to keep him last week, and he ended up with six targets. Not bad … but that resulted in two catches and 23 yards. Ugh. If you need the room on your bench, go for it.

VERDICT: Drop him

6
RB Kenneth Gainwell, Philadelphia Eagles

I had some hopes he might carve out a decent role in this offense. Nope! It’s the Miles Sanders Show!

VERDICT: Drop him

7
WR Allen Robinson II, Los Angeles Rams

We’re not there yet, but we’re getting close after another quiet week. He did catch a TD in Week 2, though.

VERDICT: Keep him
