Even if you’re not already guaranteed a playoff spot in your fantasy league, it’s never wrong to look ahead and make any personnel moves that can bolster your lineups for Weeks 15-17. There will no longer be bye weeks to worry about at that point, but there’s always the possibility that some of your key weapons are facing tough matchups.
For that reason, it’s critical to study the schedules and plan for any eventualities. SI Fantasy ran a series last week in which Jen Piacenti and Kyle Wood highlighted the quarterbacks, running backs, receivers and tight ends with the best and worst matchups during the three weeks of fantasy playoffs.
Some might be weekly starters for you but they’ve got rough sailing ahead. Others might be on your bench and ready to explode. Some players with favorable matchups might even still be available on the waiver wire.
Here are those eight stories from Piacenti and Wood. Playoff prep begins now!
