Knowledge is power and the greatest asset you can acquire in order to compete for a fantasy football championship.
Here's your 2022 preview of the Carolina Panthers, the 14th of 32 team profiles during draft season:
— 2022 Fantasy MVP: Christian McCaffrey, RB
If you're risk averse, then McCaffrey (ADP: 2) isn't for you at this point in his career. The bad news: he's played only 10 of the last 33 games while dealing with ankle, hamstring, and shoulder injuries. The good news: his averages would produce a full-season with 92 receptions, 1,970 total yards and 13 touchdowns. Which means if he's on the field, he's still pretty good.
— 2022 Fantasy Sleeper: Tommy Tremble, TE
Ian Thomas signed a three-year extension, but his strength has proven to be as a blocker. Baker Mayfield was very adept at targeting his tight ends in college and Cleveland. Tremble (ADP: 365) received more targets than Thomas in 2021 as a rookie despite running fewer routes. The former third-round pick is someone to target at the end of the draft or monitor during the first few weeks of the season if he's available on the waiver wire.
— 2022 Fantasy Bust: DJ Moore, WR
Mayfield isn't a big enough upgrade at the quarterback position for me to be all-in on Moore (ADP: 43) finally fulfilling his breakout potential. If you dig somewhere between 1,157 and 1,193 yards with exactly four touchdowns, then Moore should check off those boxes.
— 2022 Fantasy Rookie to watch: Matt Corral, QB
It was a bumpy training camp for Corral (ADP: NA) before the third-round pick suffered a Lisfranc tear in his left foot in a preseason loss to New England. He was placed on season-ending injured reserve, but he likely wasn't going to play this year anyways. Monitor his recovery if you drafted him in a dynasty league.
