With spring training under way, all 30 MLB teams will be looking to solidify their rosters and figure out exactly what kind of roles their players will fill. It’s also a time for fantasy baseball managers to prepare for their all-important drafts. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the top relief pitchers heading into the 2023 season.
Multiple teams – including the Rays, Twins, Angels, Marlins, Phillies, Cubs, Diamondbacks and Dodgers – are expected to use co-closers or some sort of closer-by-committee. As spring training goes along, we will hopefully find more clarity, but here are the pitchers that will likely have the most value in a reliever spot.
For points leagues, Hunter Brown and Freddy Peralta should be added to this list at a high priority.
