The Fans Together group have wished Sunderland well after Kyril Louis-Dreyfus exercised his pre-emption rights to increase his share in the club. The Black Cats majority shareholder increased his stake to 51% purchasing a further 10%.
Charlie Methven, who had previously owned a 5% stake in Sunderland, no longer has any, while Stewart Donald has seen his stake almost half from 34% to 19%. Juan Sartori holds the remaining 30% after increasing his stake in the club from 20%.
The announcement comes just two weeks after Donald and Methven revealed that they had accepted two bids from external parties in order to sell their remaining stakes in the club, with Louis-Dreyfus and Sartori later releasing a statement, seemingly opposing the deal.

In a statement released on social media, The Fans Together group said: "The Fans Together would like to wish Sunderland AFC every success for the future. We were committed to completing the acquisition of a 39% stake in the club, however while our negotiations were at an advanced stage, Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori elected to exercise their pre-emption rights under the shareholders agreement.
"We remain committed to bringing large scale and widespread fan ownership to reality and look forward to further proving our model and giving a real voice back to the fans, sports' most important stakeholders."
