Fans rush to support A Place In The Sun star over 'tremendously sad news'

A Place In The Sun fans have rushed to support presenter Jasmine Harman after she shared some heart-breaking news. Taking to Instagram, the Channel 4 host opened up about her devastation after enduring four bouts of "tremendously sad news" in the space of a week.

"Well this week has been an absolute downer." She wrote, alongside a picture of her and her husband, Jon Boast, smiling. "Four lots of tremendously sad news in one week. I am so grateful to have @jboasty_dop by my side to get through some of the more upsetting stuff. Thank you for always being there for me and being my rock. Love you xxx."

Although Jasmine wasn't clear on exactly what the sad news was, she later posted a video of herself thanking her followers for their kind words in her Instagram Story. The emotional 47-year-old told fans: "I just wanted to say an extremely heart felt thank you for all the lovely messages and the support."

She added: "I just wanted to reassure you that it's nothing to be concerned about. Me, you know, sometimes stuff happens in life and there's nothing you can really do anything about." All you can do is try to support the people that you love and that's what I'm doing. But it's... sometimes it gets heavy.

"I'm so lucky to have the people in my life that I have and I'm so lucky to have a job that I love that takes my mind off stuff. I'm so lucky to have all of you out there who have been so kind and supportive as well, so thank you very much."

Many people replied to her post with messages of love and support, including from celeb pals. Fellow A Place In The Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas said: “Sending you love Jas xxx." ITV presenter Lee Juggernauth put: “Sending you love.”

Jasmine later posted another Instagram saying she was filming again - which was helping her: "Stripping off for filming! Nothing like a bracing sea breeze to blow off the cobwebs and take your mind off things… "

Fans, including Peterwmarsh, wrote: "Bless you. So sorry you have had so much bad news. Sending a big gay hug." Davidmilne added: "Everyone needs a rock at sometime in their life. Glad to here you’ve got one." Maverwick said: "There’s a light where the darkness ends." Iamruthiep typed: "Sending you a very big virtual hug and lots of love."

Jasmine has been with cameraman Jon since 2004, after the pair met when he was working on the set of A Place In The Sun. They tied the knot in 2009 following five years of dating.
