The Miami Dolphins were defeated, 40-17, on Sunday by the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
Mike McDaniel’s team was already entering the game without key players Tua Tagovailoa, Xavien Howard and Byron Jones, but they also lost Teddy Bridgewater and Terron Armstead in the first quarter.
The injuries and penalties throughout the contest were too much for Miami to overcome, as they drop down to 3-2 and third place in the AFC East with the Jets having the head-to-head tiebreaker over them and the Bills improving to 4-1.
