Fans at a Louis Tomlinson Colorado concert were forced to run for cover after a freak hailstorm left music goers with broken bones.
Seven people were rushed to hospital and up to 90 people were injured at Louis Tomlinson's concert as they waited for the former One Direction star to appear on stage last night at the Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre.
Shocking footage shows emergency services rushing to concertgoers as inches of hail could be seen covering the seating area of the outdoor venue.
Fans took to Twitter to reveal they had broken fingers and hands after the hail left seven people in hospital and others were stranded due to the damage done to cars.
One fan showed a shocking video of the crowd running for cover, tweeting: "Tonight was the scariest night of my life. It started pelting people with hail at Red Rocks and my sister and I luckily found shelter under a sign.
"I am bleeding and have huge bumps on my head from the hail. Hoping everyone made it out safely."
Another fan responded: "I'm so sorry. We just left the same show. I have a broken hand from the hail."
Meanwhile, a third concertgoer tweeted an image of a huge chuck of hail in her hand while videos of flooding pouring down a staircase at the concert were also shared.
A fan tweeted: "My dad took this right after I was safe backstage. It was straight out of a horror movie."
West Metro Fire crews worked with the venue to try and treat the concertgoers.
The show was already delayed at 8pm and fans were asked to take cover until 8.35pm when the show was eventually given the go-ahead to start.
However, following another delay at 9.15pm, the show was eventually postponed at 10.25pm, according to the venue.
Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre tweeted: "Tonight’s show has officially been postponed. Please be safe exiting the amphitheatre - we’ll have more information for ticket holders soon."
One music fan revealed she and her friends were forced to take shelter in a bathroom stall for more than an hour before the show was called off.
A fan wrote: "Scariest hail storm I’ve ever been caught in. This show should have been cancelled an hour ago."
Louis' team tweeted from their official account the show had been postponed.
They said: "Unfortunately due to the current weather events in the area, tonight’s show at Red Rocks has been postponed. All ticket holders will be updated in due course."
A severe thunderstorm is in effect for much of Colorado and has been extended until 4am until Thursday with strong storms lingering, according to weather reports.
