Fans fume as The Chase player makes huge mistake minutes into ITV show

Fans claimed one contestant "messed up" just minutes in to Wednesday's episode of The Chase.

Ken, Joslyn, Lizzie and Harsharn came together in the hope of defeating a Chaser. Host Bradley Walsh welcomed them on to the show as they tested their wits against quizzing champion 'Dark Destroyer' Shaun Wallace.

Joslyn, 40, was second to play in tonight's game. But before even answering any questions, viewers at home claimed she had made a huge mistake.

The player told Bradley that she hoped to use any potential winnings to buy some high tech baking equipment. She loved to create sweet treats in her spare time - although she didn't offer any up for the host or Chaser.

Fans on Twitter said it was a huge mistake as they shared the same thoughts. Sam said: "Cake making contestant who fails to bring in cake klaxon #TheChase". Steve said: "Should’ve brought some cake, love. #TheChase."

Another user said: "Contestant who bakes f***s up and doesn’t bring any in for Brad klaxon! #TheChase." A fourth said: "During the early days of #TheChase and #Pointless, contestants would bring in baked treats for the presenters."

The housing officer took a middle offer of £3,000 after only answering three questions correctly in the cash builder. She managed to make it through to the final chase, joining her teammates for a crack at the jackpot.
