Fans could hear how referees reach VAR verdicts as leagues and IFAB plot future of officiating

Fans could one day listen in on parts of the conversations between referees and VAR officials to help explain how key decisions are made.

At present, supporters are unable to hear dialogue between the on-field referee and VAR officials, with instead only the final result being relayed to fans once a decision is made and the defining images shown on television.
