Fans are being led to believe that rapper Eminem skipped his daughter's wedding.
Alaina Scott shared several photos from her big day last week, where she married her sweetheart of seven years, Matt Moeller, but fans were quick to realise that the rapper was missing from the Instagram upload.
“So Eminem missed alaina’s wedding?” one user tweeted, while another called Eminem by his birth name Marshall, writing: “Marshall wasn’t at the wedding?”
“He didn’t attend,” a third fan guessed and a fourth put: “Me zooming in to look for Eminem. Don't tell me that man avoided pictures at his daughter's wedding? Or he asked them not to post the ones he's in?"
Meanwhile one fan offered a message of clarity for the concerned users, writing: "I’m crying at the fact we, as a fandom, are going back and forth about who was & wasn’t at Alaina’s wedding and if Marshall was or wasn’t in a photo posted when in truth none of us were there ourselves LMFAOOO."
A second supporter chimed in, saying: "He absolutely deserves privacy and no there’s not going to be any pictures of him for the public he doesn’t want him being famous steal the light from his daughter on the most special day of her life.
"He wants her wedding day to be about his daughter not him what a great father," they continued.
Alaina, 30, who is actually Eminem's niece, was adopted by the rapper in the early 2000s from his twin sister Dawn, who died of drug abuse in 2016.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Eminem explained that Alaina, nickname Lainey, had been "a part of his life ever since she was born."
"My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born," he said. "Me and Kim pretty much had her, she'd live with us wherever we was at."
In 2020, he shared that she is "like a daughter" to him and is featured in many of his lyrics, including his hit track Mockingbird, where he references her and his biological daughter Hailie.
