There was a bizarre moment during the Pakistan Super League clash between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiator when umpire Aleem Dar appeared to try and tackle Multan bowler Shahnawaz Dahani while he was celebrating a wicket.
Dahani picked up two wickets in the match, first bowling Noor Ahmed for eight and then taking off in celebration.
Dahani ran all the way towards the Quetta dugout with his one arm raised and a huge smile on his face.
When he reached the dugout, he bowed in front of West Indies legend and Quetta mentor Sir Viv Richards, with Richards responding by giving Dahani a thumbs up and applauding him.
Later on in the same over, Dahani bowled Naseem Shah and took off in celebration once again.
However, this time Dar attempted to intervene, running towards Dahani and jokingly attempting to rugby tackle him.
Despite Dar's best efforts, Dahani escaped his clutches and continued his celebrations.
Speaking on commentary, former New Zealand bowler Danny Morrison said: "Look out, he's going to tackle him! Aleem, you're too slow son. Absolute gold. Aleem, what a character."
Supporters also found the moment hilarious, with @NasimAb98883370 writing: "Hahahhaha absolutely fantastic."
"This is so fun to watch," added @_jiaam.
"Aleem dar trying to stop dahani but sorry no one can", joke @QueenAfshan_.
"Things u see only in PSL", wrote @ahmadijaz478.
Dahani's Multan won the game comfortably by a whopping 117-run margin, with Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan and Rilee Rossouw all passing fifty as they posted an imposing total of 245-3.
In response, Quetta were bowled out for just 128, with only Umar Akmal scoring a half-century and Dahani, Asif Afridi, David Willey and Khushdil Shah all picking up two wickets apiece.
The result leaves Multan six points clear at the top of the table with eight wins from their nine games, while Quetta are second from bottom with just three victories.
