Rams fans had to suffer through a miserable 2022 season one year after Los Angeles won the Super Bowl, but they were treated to a pleasant surprise in Week 1 of the 2023 campaign. To open the new season on Sunday, the Rams visited the Seahawks at Lumen Field and made a massive statement.
The Rams crushed the Seahawks, 30-13, outgaining them 426 to 180 in total yards. Seattle didn’t score a single point in the second half and barely moved the ball in the final two quarters, an impressive performance by a Rams defense that wasn’t expected to be very good this season.

Biggest Rams takeaways from today:
– they won’t be in play for the #1 pick
– Stafford looks great
– Puka Nackua is definitely real
– Offense *should* be solid all year barring more injuries
– Need to see the defense do this a few more times to call them solid

Almost like the Rams aren't some bottom-five team. Stafford and McVay give you a high floor

It’s funny how much better the Rams are then this Seahawks team. The second half of this game provides all the context you could need. Time of possession, total yards, third down conversions, total first downs, less penalty yards — the Rams won in every category today.

I whiffed on that one. That was an impressive win by the Rams.

Look the Seahawks might stink and the Rams will more than likely lose to the 49ers next week but all things considered this is one of the most impressive performances I’ve seen in the Sean McVay era

Most satisfying win in years!!

Stafford is playing out of his mind

You can tell just how much the Seahawks underestimated the Rams by Metcalf's reaction late in the game.
They did not expect to be in this situation.
Probably assumed Rams would go away after trailing 13-7 at the half.
Sorry to disappoint 🤷♂️

I'm not sure what's the most surprising performance today, the Rams defense or the Bengals offense.

Aaron Donald, go get you one, king. Perfect way to end the game.
Los Angeles Rams: 1-0.
