It has been revealed this morning that a lifelong Sunderland AFC fan who collapsed at the Stadium of Light last week has tragically passed away.
A medical emergency unfolded in the West stand, just four minutes into SAFC's home fixture against Burton Albion last Tuesday (February 22) - leading to a 52-minute break while paramedics provided urgent care, before a man was rushed to hospital.
However, despite the best efforts of medical and healthcare staff, the man now named as Michael Waggott unfortunately passed away just two days later.
