New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen was among a large contingent in attendance at Saturday’s game between Colorado and Utah. Still, despite being nearly 1,800 miles from East Rutherford, he couldn’t escape the jeering.
As Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter was warming up, FOX Sports cameras incidentally picked up a fan giving Schoen the business.
Specifically, the fan was heckling Schoen over quarterback Daniel Jones.

“Get rid of Daniel Jones,” the fan screamed repeatedly.
Jones has always been a lightning rod but that has shifted into high gear this season as the Giants are 2-8 and DJ has played poorly.
After passing on Jones’ fifth-year option, a playoff run in 2022 caused Schoen to rethink his stance on the former sixth-overall pick. He eventually signed the Duke product to a four-year, $160 million deal with $92 million guaranteed.
The Giants have left the door open to benching Jones coming out of the bye week, but several reports suggest he’ll be back under center in Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Regardless of what happens from here through the end of the season, it’s a near certainty that the Giants will cut Jones this offseason and begin their search for a replacement.
That is, of course, unless Jones suffers an injury and can’t pass an offseason physical. If that were to happen, the Giants would be locked into him for $23 million guaranteed in 2025.
