Family Warning Amid Lawsuits: Relative urges Candace Owens to quit public life; defamation cases continue

Candace Owens is facing renewed attention after a relative reportedly expressed concern about her safety and urged her to step away from public life. The warning comes as the commentator remains at the centre of several legal disputes and continues to make public statements that attract strong reactions. According to the Daily Mail, the family member believes leaving the spotlight could help reduce the pressure surrounding Owens. The relative told the outlet, “I pray every day for her safety. I would like for her to get fully out of it. Don’t talk anymore. Just disappear.”

Candace Owens’ family voices safety concerns

The reported family warning comes during a period of heightened scrutiny around Owens. Her public commentary has increasingly become tied to legal disputes, including a lawsuit filed by Brian Harpole, who previously served as Charlie Kirk’s head of security.

Harpole alleges that Owens falsely connected him to a conspiracy surrounding Kirk’s death. Owens has sought to have the case dismissed, arguing that her statements are protected speech. The legal dispute remains unresolved, with the case continuing through the courts.

The concerns reportedly extend beyond the courtroom. According to the report, people who have worked with Owens’ security team have faced greater challenges while protecting her as controversy around her public statements has intensified.

Her family’s reported comments therefore come against a wider backdrop of legal and public pressure, rather than from a single incident.

Candace Owens continues public work despite controversies

Owens is also defending herself in a separate defamation lawsuit brought by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron. The case was filed in Delaware over statements Owens made about Brigitte Macron. Owens has challenged the lawsuit and disputed the basis for the case, while the litigation remains active.

Her public schedule has also continued despite the legal disputes. Reuters reported that Owens attended the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia in June 2026, where she was scheduled to take part in a discussion about balancing parenthood and a career. Reuters also reported her attendance at the event in St. Petersburg.

For now, Owens continues to operate her media platform and remain active in public commentary. Her relative’s reported plea highlights the growing concern within her family about the personal risks that can accompany such a highly visible public profile, while the legal disputes surrounding her remain unresolved.
