Family pays tribute to 'best dad' Korrin Reeves after tragic death in Sunderland motorbike crash

A heartbroken family has released a touching tribute to a dad whose smile “lit up every room” after he tragically died in a motorbike crash.

Korrin Reeves, 30, from Sunderland, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services when they responded to the incident on Pennywell industrial estate, Sunderland, just after 7pm on Monday (November 14).

Doting dad Korrin is remembered by his loving family today, as they release a statement following his death.

“Korrin was loved by everyone who met him – with a smile that lit up every room,” they said.

“He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, partner and friend to so many. He was also the best dad to his little girl.”

Northumbria Police confirmed the investigation into Korrin’s death is ongoing and today reissued their plea for information.

Sergeant Craig Bartle, of Northumbria Police ’s motor patrols department, said: “It is clear just how loved Korrin was and our thoughts remain with his family as they attempt to come to terms with what has happened.

“We are determined to get them the answers they deserve, and that’s why I’m continuing to ask anybody who thinks they might know anything that can assist our investigation to get in touch.”

The force is asking anyone who was travelling on the A183 Chester Road around the areas of Grindon and Pennywell, who thinks they may have seen a motorcycle around that time, to check their dashcam footage.

“Your information, no matter how insignificant you feel it may be, could prove the key to this investigation,” added Sgt Bartle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police via their website or by calling 101 quoting log NP-20221114-0998.
