Family offer £10,000 to trace London mother who vanished a decade ago

The family of a woman who vanished ten years ago on Monday made a desperate plea for information as they described the “endless nightmare” of their lives without her.

Mother-of-three Lisa Pour, who would now be 50, disappeared after seeing a probation officer in Willesden Green on the afternoon of January 16, 2013.

Ms Pour, who grew up in the Queen’s Park area, had never gone missing before. Police cannot rule out she has come to harm.

Her parents Reza and Linda Pour have put up a £10,000 reward for anyone who comes forward with significant information leading to officers finding out what happened.

Retired property manager Mr Pour, 81, told the Standard: “Please help us. We are living an endless nightmare. It’s a horrible thing to say but if the police found a body, we could give Lisa a proper burial. At least then it would be an end and we could grieve.

“But this has ruined all our lives. There are no birthdays, celebrations or Christmases.

“Because of my age, things are going downhill and I need a conclusion before something happens to me.”

Two of her children Lauren-Holly, 25, and Jack Saffery, 23, added: “These past 10 years without our mother have really affected our family. She is a light that is missing in our lives and there’s not one day we don’t think about her. It would mean the world to us if one day we’ll be able to see our mother again.

“Every day that goes by we miss her and it is upsetting that we may not be able to see her again. Please help find our mother.”

Housewife Mrs Pour, 76, said: “For 10 years I have not believed my daughter has died. I always believe I’ll see her one day, and I’ll put my arms around her and give her a kiss. She was the most wonderful loving child. I miss her every day.”

At the time of her disappearance, Lisa was around 5ft 2ins tall and of slim build, with dark hair. She was known to visit the Brent and Camden boroughs.

Detective Chief Inspector Adam Rowland, from the Metropolitan Police’s North West missing persons team, added: “Lisa’s lifestyle was turbulent and she was dealing with drug addiction at the time she disappeared, but she is a daughter and a mother who is sorely missed by her family and they understandably want to know the circumstances around her sudden disappearance.

“Our extensive enquiries over the last 10 years have so far not brought us any closer to finding out where Lisa is or what happened to cause her disappearance - and her long-suffering parents, children and relatives continue to live in hope that she will make contact with them one day.

“We cannot rule out that Lisa may have come to some harm, but this is just one of a number of possibilities that we continue to explore and investigate.

“This is still very much an active inquiry, but we need information from people who knew and saw Lisa close to the time of her disappearance. It is 10 years since Lisa went missing, and it has been very distressing time for Lisa’s family. If you have any information that could help the investigation, tell police what you know. It could bring us a step closer to tracing her.

“And Lisa, if you see this, please get in touch with us or a partner agency so your loving family know you are okay.”

Ms Pour was described as 5ft 2in, of slim build and with dark hair at the time of her disappearance and was known to visit the London boroughs of Camden and Brent.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101, quoting Op Faline or the independent charity Missing People on 116000.
