The family of a Scots man who died in a tragic accident before finding out he had won the Postcode Lottery have collected thousands of pounds in his honour.

Andrew Gillon, from Wishaw, passed away during surgery at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow on January 7.

The 59-year-old had fallen down the stairs and broke his neck at a friend's house on New Years Day.
