The family of Reece Rodger has organised the “biggest search yet” for the camper who vanished nearly two weeks ago from the shores of Loch Rannoch.
Hundreds of people are reported to have signed up to take part in the mass search of the area on Saturday and Sunday.
The desperate attempts to trace Reece come as police on Tuesday announced two possible sightings of the dad-of-two.
Reece, from Fife, disappeared from the north shore of Loch Rannoch, east of Killichonan, during a camping trip with his friends and was last seen by his companions on Saturday, March 18 at around 11.30pm.
His friends thought he was heading to bed but on Sunday morning there was no trace of him and he was reported missing.
Loved ones have spent many days in the Loch Rannoch area since, looking for him.
Specialist searches are also being carried out by the Air Support Unit, the Dive and Marine Unit, police dogs and Mountain Rescue teams.
Reece’s partner Paula set up a dedicated Facebook page ‘Please Help to Find Reece’ last week.
And in a public appeal on Tuesday, titled “The biggest search for Reece yet – Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2” she wrote: “Can we be out in force on Saturday and Sunday, please?
“Let’s mark the second week of Reece’s disappearance with as many people as possible.
“I need Reece home now. He’s missed more than ever. My boys need their daddy...and I need my best pal.
“If we can start to collate names and numbers coming so we can put leads in place for each group.
“I want to have hundreds of people. Please, help me bring Reece home!
“I can’t thank you all enough for everything you’ve done and are doing for us as a family.”
On Tuesday police announced two possible sightings of Reece, in an effort to trace him.
A man matching his description was spotted at around 11.30pm on Saturday, March 18, on the road between Liarn Farm and Aulich.
Officers are also looking into a possible sighting on Sunday, March 19 around 8am on B846, approximately one mile east of Aulich.
Reece is described as 6ft, of medium build with dark hair.
When last seen he was wearing a black long-sleeved t-shirt with distinctive white letters on both sleeves spelling out – MA STRUM, black jogging bottoms and black wellington boots.
Inspector Stephen Gray said: “Our enquiries are continuing into these two possible sightings of men matching Reece’s description.
“If you have any information that might help us locate him, please contact us.
“Since Reece was reported missing we have been carrying out extensive searches to trace him.
“Local officers have been led by specialist search advisors and assisted by resources including the Air Support Unit, the Dive and Marine Unit, police dogs and Mountain Rescue Teams.
“We are continuing to speak to people in the local area and study any CCTV or personal footage that could help trace Reece.
“This is a very difficult and upsetting time for Reece’s family who are extremely concerned that he has not been in contact with them since last Saturday. This is completely out of character for him.
“If you have any dash-cam or private CCTV, please check it in case there is any detail that may help our search.
“If you have seen Reece, or have any information, no matter how small, please contact us on 101 with reference number 1348 of Sunday, March 19.”
