Family of little girl born with a 'floating leg' are now Guinness World Record holders

A little girl born with a "floating leg" and her determined family are now officially Guinness World Record holders after holding an online quiz for over 48 hours.

The Finkill family, from Bury, hold the internationally renowned accolade, together with a few hundred online quiz fans, for “longest online quiz live stream” at 48 hours, 11 minutes and 7 seconds. Daughter Sofia was dad Tom and the family’s inspiration for the fund raising event.

Sofia, now seven, was diagnosed with development dislocation of the hip (DDH) when she was just three years old. The condition meant Sofia had a ‘floating leg’ – the leg joint wasn’t connected to her hip and it was nothing short of a miracle she was still able to walk.
