The family of a 12-year-old girl who died suddenly after playing in a park hope to give the "amazing child" the send-off she deserves. Phoebe Smith had been with her sister, brother and two cousins when she collapsed.
The young girl, from Croxteth, Liverpool, was found unconscious on Saturday, March 5 in Calderstone Park. She was taken to hospital where it was discovered she had a brain aneurysm, which had burst, the Liverpool Echo reports.
She had brain surgery and "really fought" but the hospital called the family on the Wednesday, March 9 for them to say their goodbyes. A GoFundMe appeal has now been launched to help pay for her funeral.
