Family 'mortified' after being thrown out of Liverpool Empire's Mother Goose panto

A family were "mortified" after they were thrown out of the Mother Goose panto at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.

John Goddard, 35, bought his wife a £50 voucher for Liverpool Empire Theatre on Valentine's Day in 2022. As the voucher was about to expire the dad, from Rainhill, decided to buy tickets for the matinee performance of Mother Goose Show as they had a six-week-old baby and wanted to take him along.

The family arrived at the theatre on Wednesday, March 1, and said they were waved through the ticket check and passed "multiple" members of staff without an issue. It wasn't until the family sat down, ten minutes before the show was due to begin, that staff told them they had to leave.
