'Family man' and delivery driver always had a 'smile on his face'

Tributes have been paid to a delivery driver and "family man" who died last week.

Trevor Roberts, a delivery driver for Langdons of Southport cafe, died last week with his colleagues taking to social media to pay their respects. In a tribute published by the business, it described Trevor as a "family man who adored his family" having only moved to Southport a few years ago.

The tribute also said how Trevor would go above and beyond while having a smile on his face. The tribute, posted on Sunday, November 13, said: "Trevor Roberts our much-loved delivery driver sadly passed away yesterday.

"He was a family man who adored his family and moved to Southport a few years back to enjoy semi-retirement. He had a heart of gold, always a smile on his face and always went above and beyond.

"He will be greatly missed and our thoughts and prayers go to his family Marie, Charley and Eli. We would like to thank all the customers who have sent their concerns yesterday and especially thank the emergency services for their quick response and their excellent care.

"RIP Trevor from all your friends at Langdon’s you will be greatly missed."

People flooded the comments with their own tributes as the sad news rippled the town. Joanne Marshall said: So very sad. Lovely guy and will be missed very much by us all in One Stop. Sending much love to his family."

Beverley Anne wrote: "So so sad to hear this we had so many lovely chats when he delivered my orders. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this devastating time."

Caz Cooper commented: "Rip such a lovely man always had a smile and a wave and time for a chat to ask how my son was doing. Thoughts go to all his family and friends."
