A British family said they were left ‘appalled’ after their bill for four drinks and a side dish at a popular tourist restaurant in Greece came to more than £300.
The family, who have not been named, said they visited the Eclipse restaurant on Platis Gialos beach in Mykonos during a recent holiday. Having ordered one beer, one mojito, two milkshakes, one Greek salad, bread and one portion of calamari, they said they were shocked when they got the €360 (£309) bill back for their order.
They have now shared a copy of the receipt online, which showed that the calamari cost around £64 on its own, in a bid to warn other tourists from getting ‘cheated’ by inflated prices.
