Properties ranging from family homes to houses in need of upgrade and modernisation are to come under the hammer next week.
The summer property auction largely covers Wirral, and includes a four bedroomed house in West Kirby with a separate annexe suitable for a home office or for a dependent relative and two large properties in Birkenhead with planning to convert and upgrade to flats.
There are a total of 23 lots in the auction, made up of refurbishment projects, residential investments and vacant houses. The lower end of the market with properties in need of refurbishment is already proving popular, together with investment houses providing yields in excess of 10%.

Chris Johnson, auctioneer at Smith and Sons said: "This is a brilliant auction for anyone looking to secure an investment or development opportunity. All of the lots are guided at realistic figures and offer huge scope to improve and add value.
"There are a number of properties that would make good family homes in popular locations and in particular, there is a four bedroomed house in West Kirby with a separate annexe suitable for a home office or for a dependant relative. Land and barns with outbuildings in Thornton le Moors are guided at £400,000 - £450,000 with planning for conversion.
"There are two large properties in Birkenhead with planning to convert and upgrade to flats with vacant commercial premises also with development potential.
"High levels of interest for investment houses continues. The auction room often acts as a barometer for the wider industry and interest remains as intense as ever."
The auction is being held on Wednesday, July 13, and will be open for online bidding from noon the day before (Tuesday). For further details on all the lots in the sale please contact Smith and Sons on 0151 647 9272 or look on the website here.
