Family and colleagues pay tribute to 'amazing' Cardiff doorman

The family and colleagues of a much loved Cardiff doorman have paid tribute to him following his death. Phillip Francis, who worked as a doorman for Mocka Lounge for 14 years, passed away on March 9 at the age of 53.

Family, colleagues, and patrons of the city centre bar have paid tribute to the popular doorman. Phillip, also known as Phil, is survived by his partner Shelly, son Jacob, and daughter Taia, as well as the family's "loyal dog" and "best friend" Blue.

Phillip's family said in a tribute: "Losing Phillip has come as a huge shock to us as a family we have lost an amazing, hardworking partner, father and friend. We will forever love and miss him and can only wonder why he has been taken away from us so soon leaving us totally heartbroken.
