A knife, a barbecue fork and a broken golf club were found in the bloody aftermath of a brawl between two families.
Six men were arrested after the large scale fight broke out in Mersey Park, Birkenhead, on June, 3 2020. Liverpool Crown Court heard on December 1, that the fight broke out following "an incident" between younger members of the Paul family and the Edwards family.
This resulted in three men visiting Shaun Edwards' address on Linwood Road at around 10.30pm that night, followed by a "stand-off" and a fight outside the house, which was caught on CCTV. The following day, the same CCTV cameras captured Christopher, Andrew and Shaun Edwards, along with two other men, arriving at Linwood Road at around 5pm.

Other footage showed them standing on the corner of Linwood Road and Downham Road before heading in the direction of Mersey Park.
Mr Henry Adams, prosecuting, said: "Further CCTV footage shows a view of the park in which two groups of males approach each other from opposite directions and then begin to fight amongst themselves.
"At one point after the fracas in the park has occurred, and after Christopher and/or Andrew Edwards has been injured, Shaun Edwards returned to his home to collected what the officer in charge calls a machete style weapon, which appears to be a sickle... but it is not suggested he had any opportunity to cause injury to anyone."
After the fight, William and Kallum Paul and Jordan Hawkins were located by police in a car a short distance from the park. William Paul had Shaun Edwards' blood on his clothes, and Hawkins was also stained with Christopher Edwards' blood.
A knife blade, a barbecue fork and a broken golf club were recovered from the scene. However, Mr Adams said: "On the available evidence, the Crown cannot assert that any of the defendants possessed or used any of the weapons in the course of the fracas."
William Paul, 26, Kallum Paul, 25, and Jordan Hawkins, 26, scuffled with Christopher Edwards, 31, Andrew Edwards, 34, and Shaun Edwards, 33 who all pled guilty to a section 4 public order offence
Judge Anil Murray said: "The danger of getting involved in group violence is that you can never know what another person might do, and you must all take responsibility."
William and Kallum Paul, of Bedford Drive, Christopher Edwards, of Mulberry Road, and Shaun Edwards and Jordan Hawkins, both of Linwood Road, were sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended for two years, for the POA.
Andrew Edwards, also of Mulberry Road, received an additional one month suspended sentence for threatening behaviour for a separate crime committed in January 2022, when he threatened the grandparent of a child his daughter had argued with. He was also subjected to a restraining order for three years.
