Also this week, the European Parliament posthumously honoured Mahsa Amini with its top human rights award, more than a year after the Iranian woman died at the hands of Iran's morality police, sparking the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement. Days earlier, jailed Iranian activist Narges Mohammadi was officially awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, with her family collecting the prize for her in Oslo.
