Falkirk councillors agree swap to give Grangemouth a voice on planning decisions

A Grangemouth councillor has joined Falkirk Council 's planning committee after complaining the town was not being represented on it.

Councillor Alan Nimmo will replace his Labour colleague, Cllr Euan Stainbank, who represents Falkirk South who was just 22 years old when he was elected last May.

Cllr Nimmo raised the issue at last month's planning meeting when a proposal to create an HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) in the former Ellwyn pub was being discussed.
