The Atlanta Falcons continued their apparent fascination with acquiring as many Tennessee Titans castoffs as possible.
Quarterback Logan Woodside is the latest to reunite with former offensive coordinator Arthur Smith down in Atlanta after officially being signed to the Falcons’ 53-man roster off the Titans’ practice squad.
Woodside and Smith’s time in Tennessee overlapped together from 2018-2020, where the former San Antonio Commanders quarterback completed the only regular season pass of his career back in 2020.
However, that completion did occur on a special teams trick play rather than an offensive snap. Nevertheless, Smith clearly saw enough during their time together to warrant a reunion.
Over his career, the Toledo product has attempted three passes, completing one for seven yards, along with 13 rush attempts for a total of four yards.
The former AAF quarterback lost out on the backup job to rookie quarterback Malik Willis, who was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft. He was brought back on the practice squad after final cuts.
Woodside now joins a quarterback room in Atlanta that also includes rookie Desmond Ridder, and former Titans signal-caller, Marcus Mariota.
