The Atlanta Falcons signed linebacker Donavan Mutin to their 16-man practice squad and released punter Pat O’Donnell, the team announced on Monday afternoon.
Mutin was signed by the Falcons last week and released a few days later when starting punter Bradley Pinion suffered an illness. With Pinion’s Week 8 game status in jeopardy, the team was forced to bring in O’Donnell on Saturday.

Mutin now replaces O’Donnell two days later on the 16-man roster. Look for Atlanta to make another move today or tomorrow with defensive lineman Grady Jarrett ruled out for the year.
The Falcons have yet to place Jarrett on the injured reserve list, but head coach Arthur Smith confirmed that the veteran defensive lineman was done for the season on Monday.
Make sure to check out the team’s updated 16-man practice squad following Monday’s transactions.
