Wednesday is the final day for NFL teams to host prospects on top-30 draft visits and the Atlanta Falcons are making the most of it. According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the Falcons are meeting with Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud.
While most draft analysts expect Stroud to be long gone by the time Atlanta is on the clock, the team continues to do its due diligence on this year’s crop of quarterbacks.
The #Falcons are hosting QB C.J. Stroud on a visit today, sources say. Atlanta currently holds the eighth pick and has met with other top QBs in this draft after doing homework on QBs this time last year as well.

The Falcons have already hosted Kentucky’s Will Levis and Florida’s Anthony Richardson on pre-draft visits, both of whom are more likely to be available at pick No. 8 than Stroud.
Last season, Stroud threw for 3,688 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and six interceptions for the Buckeyes. It wasn’t a fluke, either. In 2021, Stroud had even better numbers, passing for 4,435 yards and 44 touchdowns.
If the Falcons really want Stroud, they will likely have to trade up into the top three to get him. The Panthers are expected to take Alabama QB Bryce Young first overall, but the Texans (pick No. 2) and Cardinals (pick No. 3) are potential trade partners.
