Falcons DL Calais Campbell donates $100K to teachers

The Atlanta Falcons lost their Week 6 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, but at least some good came out of it. Defensive lineman Calais Campbell recorded his 100th career sack and is celebrating the milestone by giving back to the cities where he played.

Campbell launched his “100 Sack Give Back” initiative on Monday, donating $100,000 to teachers in Jacksonville, Phoenix, Baltimore and Atlanta. These four cities represent the four teams that Campbell has played for during his NFL career.

Per team reporter Tori McElhaney, the veteran defensive lineman is also giving $20,000 to teachers in Denver and Miami.

“In addition to the initial $100,000, Campbell will also donate a total of $20,000 to teachers in Denver (where Campbell went to high school) and Miami (where Campbell played college football),” writes McElhaney.

It’s a classy way for Campbell to say thank you to those who supported him throughout his 16-year NFL career.
