Drivers using the Silvertown and Blackwall tunnels are being warned not to fall victim to fake websites used by scammers.
It comes after two men who ran more than 40 “copycat” websites claiming to be official payment channels for UK road tolls were found to have stolen more than £2.2 million, including from motorists trying to pay the £12.50-a-day London ultra-low emission zone levy and the Dartford Crossing toll.
