Fake gas engineer jailed after putting 90-year-old London homeowner’s life at risk

A man has been jailed after fraudulently claiming to be Gas Safe Registered (GSR) and putting the life of a 90-year-old homeowner at risk.

Israel Jackson, 56, was sent by a contracted company to install a new boiler at the man’s home in Croydon in May 2022, but he lied about being qualified to carry out the work and has now been jailed for 12 months.
