Faiza Shaheen to stand as independent candidate after quitting Labour over selection row

Faiza Shaheen Labour Party Chingford

Faiza Shaheen has announced she will stand as an independent candidate for the seat of Chingford & Woodford Green after quitting the Labour Party.

Ms Shaheen accused Sir Keir Starmer’s party of systematic Islamophobia and bullying after not being selected to fight for the seat which is currently held by Conservative Iain Duncan Smith.
