Facial recognition to be rolled out nationwide in major police reforms

The home secretary has announced plans to ramp up the use of AI and live facial recognition across England and Wales as part of sweeping reforms.

The Home Office has called the changes the biggest reform to policing since the police were professionalised two centuries ago.
