A community Facebook group set up to help others shows the "true colours" of Liverpool and its people.
People Help the People Liverpool was set up as a group around nine years ago as a way for anyone struggling to ask for help anonymously, or for people to give away goods no longer needed- such as cookers and furniture. The group has grown massively over the years, and now has over 65,000 members.
Stacey Williams, from Anfield, is one of these members, and the mum-of-two believes that the kindness shown in the group perfectly captures the scouse spirit. She told the ECHO : "Liverpool is known for pulling together, people have their misconceptions about the city but this is what we're good at. I think the kindness really shows the true colours of Liverpool."

One rule for the group is that there are strictly no sales, everything is to be given away for free to those who need it. Stacey, who works in the accident and emergency unit at the Royal Hospital, claims that there has been a massive showing of support in the build up to Christmas.
Stacey, among other volunteers, has been out delivering presents and meals for the group, the 34-year-old added: "I think the group is a very safe space where people can get support, it feels very genuine. I think nowadays there's too much of people doing stuff for show but the group isn't about that.
"Everyone is struggling at the minute with the cost of living crisis, and Christmas- I think that has just made everyone rally around the community even more. I don't think I've ever seen as many donations as I have in the past few days."
There are also a range of local businesses in the group, who offer their services for free to those struggling. One of these is JS Cleaning Services, who have been out in the community in the build-up to Christmas helping out.
